Day 1: Nairobi

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you are met by Pongezi Africa Safaris representative who gives you a short brief and then transfer to Eka Hotel. You have a whole day in Nairobi. You can choose to do some excursion i.e. Visit to Elephant David Sheldrick Orphanage, Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen Museum and Nairobi National Museum. Accommodation and breakfast at Eka Hotel.

Day 2: Nairobi / Amboseli National Park

Have breakfast in the Hotel and 0700hrs drive to Amboseli National Park to the South. Arrive for lunch at Amboseli Kibo Camp. At 1600hrs have a Game Drive till 1830hrs. Amboseli means ‘Tornado of Dust’. It occupies an area of 392 km2. Amboseli is known for big herd of elephants grazing in the swamp under the Snow Capped Mt. Kilimanjaro. Late in the evening you will capture a video/ photo of the elphants crossing infront of your safari car,as they head towards the forest where they sleep. Other animals to see are; African Buffalo, Burchell Zebra, Spotted Hyena, Lion, Cheetah etc

Day 3: Amboseli National Park / Tsavo West National Park

Take early breakfast and start your Game Drive at 0630hrs. Wait for the herds of the African Elephants coming down from Mount Kilimanjaro and cross in front of your safari car as they enter into marshy area where they feed the rest of the day. You will see Lesser and Greater Flamingoes, Pelicans, Cormorants, Goliath Heron etc. Visit the unique Palm tree forest for some hammer kop birds and it’s where we find the Camp for the Elephant’s Research Team.

At 0900hrs, leave for Tsavo. On entering into the Park, have a stop at the recent volcanic activity of Chyulu Hills. Have a walk over the black Lava as you take some photos. Arrive for lunch at Kilaguni Serena Lodge. Have Safari Photography at 1600hrs, with a visit to Mzima Springs. You have some 30 minutes walk as you watch some birds i.e. Superb Starling, Go away bird, African fish eagle. Also look for Nile Crocodiles, Hippopotamus and fish in the pool.

Day 4: Tsavo West National Park

Have an early Game Drive with breakfast much later. After lunch you drive to Rhinoceros Sanctuary. Tsavo West has an area of 9065 km2. Has thick bush of commifola Acacia, Baobabs with rivers such as Tsavo River.  Some animals to see are; Red African Elephants, African Capped Buffalos, Lions, Leopards. Hunting Dogs, Burchell Zebras, Maasai Giraffes, Lesser Kudu, Oryx. Be back to the lodge by 1830hrs.

Day 5: Tsavo West National Park / Nairobi

After breakfast drive back to Nairobi with lunch on the way. Drop off at The Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight back home.
