BONGO SAFARIS ( 9 Days )

Day 1: Nairobi

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you are met by Pongezi Africa Safaris representative who gives you a Safari briefing and then transfer to Fairmont Norfolk Hotel. You have a whole day in Nairobi. You can choose to do some excursion i.e. Visit to Elephant David Sheldrick Orphanage, Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen Museum and Nairobi National Museum. Accommodation and breakfast at Fairmont Norfolk Hotel.

Day 2: Nairobi / Mt Kenya Fairmont Safari Club

After breakfast drive to the North. Pass through agricultural zone of Pineapples, Mangoes, Oranges, Bananas, Sweet potatoes, Coffee. Have a stop at the line of Equator for some demonstration. Arrive at Mount Kenya Fairmont  Safari Club for lunch. With a clear sky you will see Mount Kenya

In the afternoon you can visit their Animal Orphage where you see the most endangered Antelope called Bongo. Also there is Horse Riding.

Day 3: Mount Kenya Fairmont Safari Club

Have breakfast in the hotel and leave for Olpajeta Conservancy at 0830hrs. In 45 minutes you arrive there. The Park is known for having a walk with Chimpanzees and you have a chance to feed them. Also it shelters both Black and White Rhinoceros. You find the Only Two Remaining White Northern Rhinoceros in the World. You also see African elephants, gazelles, African Capped Buffalos, Spotted Hyenas, Giraffees and Lions. Have lunch at Sweet waters Camp.

Day 4: Mount Kenya Fairmont Safari Club / Maasai Mara Fairmont Safari Club

After breakfast transfer to Nanyuki Airstrip at 0830hrs for your flight to Maasai Mara. On your arrival you are received by our Guide who drives you to the Maasai Mara Safari Club and takes you to the hotel. You will be with him for 3 nights. In the Afternoon you have a Game Drive in search of Lions, Savannah Elephants, Kongoni Heart beasts etc.

Day 5&6: Maasai Mara Safari Club

You have a full day game drive with the picnic lunch. The name’ Maasai’ means the speakers of ‘Maa’ language and ‘Mara’ means Spotted. It’s the seventh wonders of the world due to its annual wild animal’s migration from Serengeti in Tanzania to Maasai Mara. It occupies an area of 1500 km2. You look for Lions, Cheetahs, Zebras, wild beasts and Giraffes.

Day 7: Maasai Mara Safari Club / Amboseli National Park

Have an early Game Drive and be back for breakfast. After lunch transfer to Ngerende Airstrip for your flight to Amboseli. You are received by our Guide who drives you to Amboseli Tortilis Camp and transfer to the Camp with game drive on route. Tortilis faces the Mount Kilimanjaro from all the room.

Day 8: Amboseli National Park.

You have a full day game drive with Picnic Lunch. Amboseli means ‘Tornado of Dust’. It occupies an area of 392 km2. Amboseli is known for big herd of elephants grazing in the swamp under the Snow Capped Mt. Kilimanjaro. Late in the evening you will capture another photo as they cross in front of your safari cars, heading towards the forest where they sleep. Other animals to see are; African Buffalo, Burchell Zebra, Spotted Hyena, Lion, Cheetah etc.

Day 9: Amboseli National Park / Nairobi

Transfer to the Amboseli Airstrip after breakfast for your flight to Nairobi. On arrival you are taken for lunch at Carnivore Restaurant and later to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight back home.
